Kemptville Grads host Open Barn

The Crites family from just east of Ingleside hosted an open barn tour at Critesdale Farms. The Crites family are also grads of Kemptville College. In the photo are Pamela ( McNeely) ‘83 Food Grad, Calvin ‘79 grad and their son Adam a 2014 grad. Adam is the fourth generation to farm at their current location.

The two DeLaval VMS Supra + robots milk their herd of just over 90 cows and they can expand to 150 cows if they install a third robot.Their new barn and milking system allows more flexible hour and is less labour intensive.

Leahurst Painting

The Kemptville College Alumni is pleased to accept an oil painting from
Nancy Curtis, the wife of John Curtis, a former principal of Kemptville
College. This painting will be hung in the Kemptville College Alumni
Historical Building and it will bring back many memories of the meals the
Food and Fashion Grads had to prepare at Leahurst to obtain  college
credits to graduate.  Thank you very much Nancy.
