Alumni Don Good ’66 is among two others that have partnered to become the new ownership team for Etcetera Publications Inc.. Together, Linda Vogel, AJ Al-Rajab and Donald R. Good will be keeping local media alive and well. Congratulations to all!

CHESTERVILLE – On Aug. 1, partners, Linda Vogel, AJ Al-Rajab and Donald Good, officially took over ownership of the Chesterville Record. North Dundas Mayor Eric Duncan, presented the group with a scroll on Mon., Aug. 13 to congratulate them on the acquisition of the local business. The scroll reads, “We appreciate your positive contribution to making North Dundas a great place to live, work and raise a family.”
Linda Vogel operates a farm with her husband in North Stormont and owns Linda’s Bookkeeping, with offices in Chesterville, Apple Hill and Perth. She has been the manager of Etcetera Publications (Chesterville Record, Villager and Eastern Ontario AgriNews) for four years, and will continue in the role for the day to day operations.
Donald Good is an agricultural lawyer from Ottawa with experience in journalism. Good sold his practice, which opened in 1983, to AGB Lawyers to grow his firm in 2012.
AJ Al-Rajab has a PhD in agricultural sciences from Lorraine University, France. He worked for different institutions including Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada as postdoctoral fellow. Dr. Al-Rajab published over 25 scientific research articles and a few book chapters related to the agricultural and environmental sciences. His interest in agricultural publishing and knowledge transferring, led him to join the team at Etcetera Publications.
Good and Al-Rajab will be contributing to the editorial content of the publications and hope to become familiar faces in the area. All three partners look forward to expanding operations and maintaining the publications as local sources of news.
“We are excited to continue the legacy of the Chesterville Record, Villager and the Eastern Ontario AgriNews. All three partners are committed to providing quality editorial to the counties of Stormont, Dundas and Russell,” said Vogel. “We look forward to being an active part of the local community.”
Sod Turning For Kemptville College Alumni Historical Building
The Kemptville College Alumni has turned the sod for the Kemptville College Alumni Historical Building. The sod turning took place Saturday, August 25th, at the Lombardy Agricultural Fair Grounds near Smiths Falls.Our yearly alumni reunion is held at the same location. Over 70 people attended the Sod Turning and then 175 attended the reunion banquet that evening.
Fund raising started after the building was approved last August and donations to the building fund are greatly appreciated. Financial contributors will receive a charitable receipt and names will be displayed in the new building and on our web page www.kcalumni.ca

gals she went to school with. Two of these friends have connections to
Kemptville College. Terri ( Fox ) Reid ’70 married to Jim Reid ’69. Rhona
Munro is married to Bruce ’70 and pictured as well are Linda Fournier and
Joan MacIntyre.
Anderson Links – Year ’69 Mini-Reunion
Year ’69 had a “mini reunion” at Anderson Links Golf Course recently. This came about when Bev ( Paterson) McBurney came to Orleans to visit her grandchildren. Bev, who lives in Hickson (near Stratford) , retired after 28 years with the board of education. Joining her were L to R Kim (Keene) Link, Barb (Brownlee) Sproule,
Isabel (Blair) Kinnear, Donna (Armstrong) Koeniger, Bev, Shirley (Beech) Foster, Stephanie Hill-Nicholls.
All gals now retired, enjoy time with grandchildren.
Kemptville College Alumni wants to maintain ownership of all class pictures
The Kemptville College Alumni and North Grenville are disputing the ownership of many items from the College’s history. All class pictures are on the list. As board members of the Alumni of Kemptville College, we are asking our members to support and sign this petition and to include the year you graduated. The petition gives permission for your picture which is part of a class picture to be displayed at our historical building and not with North Grenville. The historical building is being built at the Lombardy Agricultural Fair Grounds.
